PRESENT PERFECT TENSE
Present perfect
tense is used to declare an event that has been done in the past and still have
related to the present, and there is usually a result.
Patterns
:
(+) Subject + have/has + verb 3 + object
(-)
Subject + have/has + not + verb 3 + object
(?)
Have/has + subject + verb 3 + object
Example :
(+) Dina
has brought my book.
(-) Dina
has not brought my book.
(?) Has
Dina brought my book?

The Usage of
Present Perfect Tense:
1.
Used
to describe an event or action that occurred in the past and still has related
to the current time.
Example: - He
has gone since morning
- I have waited you since afternoon.
2. Used
to describe an event that has occurred.
Example:
- We have helped him.
- Alvin has given me a book.
3. Used
to declare an act back on the indefinite period of time.
Example:
- She has ever met us
- I have never promise to met her.
4. Used
to describe an act that was completed in record time.
Example:
- He has just come here.
- Dina has invited them last.
Example:
Cody :
Have you ever met Michael Jackson?
Nadya :
No, I have not.
PAST PRESENT TENSE
Past perfect
tense is used to describe an action or
an event that had happened before the other event or action happened in
the past.
Patterns:
(+) Subject + had + verb 3 + object
(-)
Subject + had + not + verb 3 + object
(?)
Had + subject + verb 3 + object
Example:
(+) You had slept when I came last night
(-)
You had not slept when I came last night
(?)
Had you slept when I came last night?
